Job summary

Hyundai MOBIS Alabama, LLC-Savannah Plant is seeking a senior Quality Assurance and New Model Launch Manager to oversee QA and QC activities across the Georgia facility, ensuring alignment with the corporate quality strategy. You will drive APQP processes, cost improvements, and field issue resolutions with OEMs and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in engineering or related field is required; MBA preferred.
• 10 years experience in manufacturing/automotive QA/QC.
• 8+ years managerial experience in quality function.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA and QC activities across the MOBIS Georgia plant.
• Improve CS/RS related claims and quality costs.
• Manage monthly claim process, recalls, campaigns and service actions.
• Coordinate with OEM, suppliers and internal teams.
• Ensure timely execution of improvement initiatives aligned to strategic plan.

Job description

Responsible for maintaining the facilities system-wide Quality program; to include data collection, aggregating and analyzing data, maintaining policies and procedures. Facilitates alignment between improvement initiatives and the organizations strategic plan; directs the day-to-day execution of the strategies and tactic necessary to successfully improve the outcomes and results of the organization. MOBIS Corporate Center America will be aiding in the hiring progress for this job position.

Responsibilities

(To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)

• Provide training and Guidance to QC and QA functions in their separate spheres of operations. Work with HOD’s / COD’s to establish long term goals for both departments.
• Ensure voice of the customer is heard by both groups and the rest of the organization.
• Interact with Senior Management at the OEM to understand their expectations and translate actionable activities within QC or QA as appropriate.
• Leads and is ultimately responsible for Quality (QA & QC) activities throughout the MOBIS Georgia plant.
• Ensure that projects are implemented in a timely manner and improvements are sustained by the organization.

Quality Assurance & New Model Launch Management (MOBIS Product Development System / APQP)

• Improvement of CS/RS related claims as well as quality cost
• Manage monthly claim process, recall/campaign and service action
• Manage external issues such as NHTSA , IQS/VDS, IATF, etc.
• Control internal communication with related teams about field issues

Quality Control

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) required, MBA desired
• Degree Field: Engineering, Quality, or related field.
• Equivalent Experience/Education: 15 years of experience in a manufacturing/automotive field
• Communication Skills: Advanced
