The Father's Table is a privately owned, national dessert manufacturer located in Central Florida. The Quality Assurance Manager will lead the site's Food Safety and Quality Management Systems, supervise QA staff, and ensure compliance with FDA, SQF, and HACCP standards to deliver safe, high-quality products.

Reporting to Sr. Quality Leadership, the role emphasizes training, corrective action, and continuous improvement across the site, with occasional overtime for production needs.

Qualificações

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology or Food Science.
  • Minimum 4 years’ QA leadership experience in FDA/USDA, SQF regulated facility.
  • Baking experience preferred.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Applications.
  • Strong problem-solving, organization and leadership abilities.
  • Capable of training and directing supervisors and technicians in FDA, GMP, SQF, HACCP and related procedures.
  • Able to work additional hours or overtime as needed.
  • Must be a strong team player.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead and maintain the site's Food Safety and Quality Management Systems.
  • Develop and strengthen Food Safety and Quality Assurance culture.
  • Lead CAPA program to identify root causes and contributing factors.
  • Use 5-Why, Fishbone/Ishikawa, trend analysis and risk assessment.
  • Lead and improve foreign material prevention and control.
  • Manage Environmental Monitoring, sampling, trending and corrective actions.
  • Maintain HACCP and prerequisite QA plans.
  • Serve as primary site contact for SQF, FDA, customers and audits.
  • Lead audit preparation and ongoing readiness.
  • Oversee finished product testing, specs, release, and quality.
  • Lead investigations of customer complaints, holds and recalls.
  • Analyze quality trends and drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop and deliver training on food safety, GMPs, HACCP, sanitation and allergens.
  • Foster a collaborative environment sharing responsibility for Food Safety and Quality.

Today, our products can be found in National Retail accounts, Food Service, Wholesale Clubs, Convenience Stores and School Lunch Programs.

Under the direction of Senior Quality Leader, the Quality Assurance Manageris responsible for managing all QA functions in the bakery. The Quality Assurance Manager establishes and maintains quality systems to ensure the company’s facilities, equipment, personnel, methods, processes, and procedures conform to both internal guidelines and regulatory standards.

The Quality Assurance Manager regularly supervises a direct and indirect staff of approximately 12 (supervisors/leads/techs). The bakery typically operates two shifts, 5-6 days a week.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or Food Science related.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in Quality Assurance leadership in an FDA/USDA, SQF regulated facility.
  • Baking experience preferred.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Proficient in MS Office Applications.
  • Strong problem-solving, organization, and leadership abilities..
  • Capable of training and directing supervisors, leads and technicians, in FDA, GMP, SQF, HACCP and general Food Safety and Food Quality procedures.
  • Must be able to work additional hours or mandatory overtime in case of unforeseen circumstances for production.
  • Must be a strong team player.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and maintain the site's Food Safety and Quality Management Systems.
  • Develop and maintain initiatives that strengthen the site's Food Safety and Quality Assurance culture.
  • Lead and manage the site's Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) program to ensure investigations identify the true root cause and contributing factors.
  • Utilize 5-Why, Fishbone/Ishikawa, trend analysis, risk assessment, and other root-cause methodologies.
  • Lead and continuously improve the site's Foreign Material Prevention and Control Program.
  • Manage and oversee the Environmental Monitoring Program, including sampling, trending, investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain and verify HACCP and food safety plans and prerequisite programs.
  • Serve as the primary site contact for SQF, FDA, customer, and third-party audits.
  • Lead audit preparation and ensure ongoing readiness.
  • Oversee finished product testing, specifications, product release, and quality standards.
  • Lead investigations of customer complaints, product holds, withdrawals, and potential recalls.
  • Analyze quality trends and drive continuous improvement in product consistency and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and deliver training related to food safety, GMPs, HACCP, sanitation, allergens, foreign material prevention, and quality.
  • Foster a collaborative, team-oriented environment where Food Safety and Quality are shared responsibilities across the organization.
  • Build strong working relationships with Operations, Maintenance, Sanitation, Warehouse, R&D, Engineering, Human Resources, and site leadership.
  • Other duties as assigned by Sr. QAFS Leadership.
