Job summary

McAirlaid's in Rocky Mount, VA, is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the QA/QC program, ensure compliance with food safety regulations and customer specifications, and drive product excellence across the manufacturing site.

This on-site, full-time role requires a 4-year degree, 5+ years in quality management in food packaging, and strong knowledge of BRC/ISO standards. The incumbent will lead audits, manage the QMS, and mentor the QA team while pursuing continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Quality Management, Engineering or related field; master's preferred.
• 5+ years quality management experience in food packaging/manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of BRC and ISO standards.
• Experience with absorption pad production or similar packaging tech preferred.
• Ability to lead teams, manage audits, and drive continuous improvement.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software (Q-Pulse, EtQ).
• Certification in HACCP, PCQI, or Six Sigma is a plus.

We are seeking a Quality Manager to join our team in Rocky Mount, VA, to uphold and advance our high standards of product excellence and compliance.

The Quality Manager will oversee all aspects of the quality management system (QMS) to ensure compliance with food safety regulations, customer specifications, and industry standards (such as ISO and BRC).
