Job summary

Pregis in Conover, NC, is seeking a Quality Assurance/Continuous Improvement Manager to lead quality control and improvement initiatives. The role collaborates with Operations and Service to drive process changes, manage projects, and maintain ISO 9001 certification.

You will investigate quality issues, perform root-cause analysis, develop SOPs, and mentor Quality Control staff while guiding cross-functional teams through DMAIC/Lean methods to enhance product and process performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in people, process, and product management.
• BS Mechanical, Process Engineering, Quality Engineering or similar degree/experience preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to create, implement, and maintain new processes across multiple departments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality control and quality assurance activities.
• Execute quality improvement projects using DMAIC/Lean methodology.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, PFMEA, and QA documentation.
• Collaborate with Operations and Service to identify and fix process failures.

Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Manager reports to the Director of Operationsand will oversee all activities related to Quality Control and Quality Assurance.The QA Manager will execute key projects related to process improvement based on data collected from Quality Control and feedback from Field Service and Customers.The QA Manager works with both Operations and Service to identifyand correctprocess failuresand will provide support inproject management, change management, SOP documentation and management.The QA Manager will also leadand drive thebusiness unit’sinitiativestoobtain and maintainISO 9001 certification.

Job Expectations and Responsibilities

The Quality Assurance Manager plays a critical part in understanding and meeting internal and externalcustomer needs by developing solutions and validating product/solution performance through:

• Executingquality complaint investigations, root cause analysis, troubleshooting, data collection and proposes solutions.
• Demonstratingappropriate project management skills and use of DMAIC/Lean methodology in execution of projects.
• Creatingand executingcontinuous improvement projects and Design of Experiments to improve quality and optimize equipment and process performance within production applications.
• Engagingwith production to develop new products and supporting process development through PFMEA –(Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis).
• Developingdocumentation for new test procedures, products, and processes.
• Routinely monitoringproduction through periodic Q/C checks and evaluation of routine checks made by in-houseline leaders.
• Assistingin creating quality assurance plans for new products to guarantee quality from stage one.
• MaintainingQuality Root-Cause database.
• Training new Quality Control employees.

Required Education, Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in people, process, and product management
• BS Mechanical, Process Engineering, or Quality Engineering or similar relevant degree/experiencepreferred
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt a plus
• Demonstrated ability to create, implement, and maintain new processes across multiple departments
• Demonstrated success in managing projects in cross-functional teams
