As the Quality Assurance Manager, you will serve as the day-to-day leader of Quality across Hercules OEM. This position has a working element, as you will be responsible for Quality across Hercules OEM (80% of your time) but will focus some of your time on quality specific to the HOEM’s largest site, Minnesota (20% of your time). As Hercules OEM grows and expands, we anticipate this role will gradually shift into a full-time quality management position with the growth of additional staff.

Specific functions of the Quality Assurance Manager include the management of:

All quality engineers and technicians

The Quality Management System (QMS)

Corrective & Preventative Actions

Regulatory Response Program

Key Responsibilities:

The Quality Assurance Manager leads the quality function at HOEM concurrent with: (1) Business growth, (2) Customer expectations, (3) Meeting division financial objectives, and (4) Meeting divisional goals concerning safety, quality, and on-time delivery of products.

  • Responsible for the overall operation of the QA Department and oversees the day-to-day supervisory job functions of all quality employees.
  • Recruits, hires, and trains staff, evaluates employee performance and recommends or initiates promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action for the quality department.
  • Final quality MRB decision point at HOEM for rejected material.
  • Responsible for management of the Quality Management System (QMS) at Hercules OEM
  • Oversees / Completes any necessary HOEM quality paperwork, including customer-required documentation, PPAPs or surveys.
  • Manages the investigation, quarantining, and correction of quality concerns with inventory, including supervising all corrective actions with vendors, customers, or internal staff on quality-related severe issues.
  • Works with the sales and marketing department to produce new sales literature, website updates, or other marketing functions as they arise.
  • Main contact for HOEM regulatory, compliance, or certification issues
  • Travel, as required, in support of Commercial and Quality activities - up to 25% expected.
  • Consistent demonstration of Hercules OEM CORE values

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Minimum 7 years Quality Experience
  • Experience with ISO 9001 or AS9100
  • Strong Leadership skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Supplier or Supply Chain Quality Experience
  • Background in elastomers or sealing products.
  • Basic understanding of GD&T
  • Consistent demonstration of strong listening and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to work efficiently without compromising quality or accuracy.
