Job summary

Axion Recruitment Limited is seeking a Quality Manager for an established food manufacturer in Battle Creek, MI. You will lead the plant’s Quality Assurance and Food Safety functions, ensuring GMP/SQF/FSMA compliance and driving continuous improvement across QA and Operations.

The role requires strong HACCP/PCQI experience, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to manage audits, CAPA, environmental monitoring, and customer investigations.

Qualifications

• BS in a related field or 5+ years QA experience in food manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and compliance (GMP, SQF, FSMA, FDA).
• HACCP, PCQI and SQF certifications are required or highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant Quality Assurance & Food Safety functions.
• Maintain GMP, SQF, FSMA and FDA compliance across the site.
• Manage HACCP, HARPC and CAPA programs.
• Maintain regulatory and customer audit readiness.
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions.

• Oversee allergen, label and foreign material controls.
• Manage product hold and release processes.
• Track and improve plant quality KPIs.
• Manage customer complaints and investigations.
• Drive continuous improvement across Quality and Operations.
