Job summary

Pacific American Fish Company (PAFCO) is seeking a QA/QC Supervisor to oversee daily quality control activities across our seafood processing operations. This role emphasizes hands-on testing, strong documentation, and leadership on the production floor to ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ year HACCP experience in a food processing environment.
• 1+ year GMP/SOP implementation in a food manufacturing environment.
• Previous QC supervisory experience required; seafood experience preferred.
• Experience with environmental monitoring, ATP and surface swabbing.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and quality control practices.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise QC Technicians and Line Leads to ensure quality standards are met.
• Develop and enforce quality specifications, SOPs, SSOPs, GMPs, QC forms, and corrective actions.
• Conduct plant inspections, internal audits, and raw material inspections.
• Ensure QC documentation and production records are accurate and timely.
• Support environmental monitoring, sanitation, and food safety programs.
• Conduct GMP and quality training for employees and newly hired QC Technicians.
• Schedule QC coverage and support staffing, performance management, and staff development.
• Communicate quality issues and corrective actions to QA Supervisor and Production leadership.
• Serve as a hands-on resource to production and QC teams addressing quality or food safety concerns.
