Job summary

Pacific American Fish Co (PAFCO) in Vernon, CA is seeking a Production Line Lead to supervise daily activities on an assigned production line, ensure production targets, product quality, food safety, and workplace safety standards are met. This role provides hands-on leadership to production staff and coordinates workflow.

You will monitor line performance, train employees, address issues with the Production Supervisor, and collaborate with Quality Control, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Production

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in food processing or production preferred.
• Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of GMPs and sanitation practices.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct production employees on assigned lines to meet daily goals.
• Monitor processing, portioning, packaging, labeling, and handling Activities.
• Ensure products meet quality, food safety, and company specifications.
• Assign work and provide direction, training, and coaching.
• Monitor output, yields, waste, downtime and line performance.
• Identify issues and elevate to Production Supervisor as needed.
• Ensure adherence to policies, GMPs, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production area.
• Complete required production records and documentation accurately.
• Assist with breaks, line coverage, and workflow adjustments.
• Collaborate with Quality Control, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Production teams.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity and waste reduction.
