Job summary

Flagstone Foods is seeking a Lead - Quality Assurance to oversee the QA program development for SQF, GMPs, HACCP, and SOPs at our Robersonville, NC facility. You will train technicians, manage inspections, and guide procedural improvements to maintain product quality and safety.

You will lead investigations, coordinate audits (SQF, AIB, FDA), and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards while supporting the overall QA strategy during manager absence.

Qualifications

• Must know and understand all types of nuts and allergens processed through the machine.
• Minimum 6 months experience in a manufacturing work environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to evaluate the product for roast and/or damage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall quality of products and ensure compliance with company and regulatory specifications.
• Update and maintain QA specifications and manuals for audits (SQF, AIB, FDA, Customer).
• Facilitate QA training of production personnel in GMPs and procedures.
• Maintain Positive Release program and QA Hold log in the JDE system.
• Administer plant environmental testing program and identify testing locations.
• Lead microbiology/analytical testing programs and review lab results.
• Lead HACCP, SQF audit programs with cross-functional teams.
• Develop specifications, formulas, labels and basic statistics understanding.
• Investigate quality issues with input from all departments.
• Support SQF 2000 systems and QA manager coverage as needed.
• Drive resolution of customer/consumer complaints and foreign material investigations.
• Perform plant cleanliness audits and train QA technicians.
