Job summary

Basic American Foods in Moses Lake, WA, seeks a Quality Assurance Manager to oversee all aspects of food safety and quality from raw materials to shipped products. You will lead QA staff, ensure HACCP, SOPs, SSOPs, and cGMPs, and drive continuous improvement in laboratory practices and manufacturing processes.

The role requires a BS degree and 5–7 years in QA, HACCP/SQF expertise, and strong leadership to train technicians and coordinate with Operations to reduce waste and cost while maintaining

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree required with five to seven years related experience and/or training.
• Experience overseeing food safety, quality, and GMP compliance in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, SQF standards, and QA laboratory practices.
• Ability to train and develop QA staff and coordinate with production teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and secure all aspects of food safety and quality from raw materials to shipment.
• Lead staff and plant operations to ensure HACCP, SOPs, SSOPs, and cGMPs are followed.
• Develop and sustain Good Laboratory Practices; ensure testing is accurate and timely.
• Coach, develop, and train direct reports and support plant operations in QA.
• Collaborate with Technology, Marketing, Sales, and customers to ensure product performance.
• Investigate root causes of deficiencies and validate corrective actions.
