Job summary

JCW Group in Charlotte, NC is searching for a QA Lead to build out testing for a cybersecurity data platform on Databricks. This temp-to-perm role starts with manual testing of ETL pipelines and quickly moves to stand‑up test automation from scratch.

You will own test strategy, data validation, and defect management end-to-end, partnering with data engineering, governance, and security teams in a regulated financial services environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in QA, data testing, or ETL/ELT testing
• Hands-on Databricks experience (Delta Tables, notebook workflows, pipeline jobs, API integrations)
• 5+ years leading QA for enterprise data warehouse or lakehouse
• Strong SQL and Spark SQL
• Python, PySpark, Pandas for test automation and data profiling
• API testing experience (Postman or similar)

JCW is working on a QA Lead search with a leading financial institution, building out QA for a cybersecurity data warehouse on Databricks and we're looking for someone who wants to build a testing function from the ground up.

This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, not a maintain role - it's a build. You'll walk in and start manually testing ETL pipelines by hand (no framework exists yet), then design and stand up test automation from scratch. You'll own test strategy, data validation, and defect management end to end, partnering closely with data engineering, governance, and security teams on a critical cyber data platform within a regulated financial services environment.

What you'll bring:
