Actalent is hiring a Quality Control Laboratory Technician for our Gurnee, IL facility. This role conducts tests on raw materials, in‑process samples, and finished products to ensure quality and compliance, with emphasis on accurate record-keeping and strict safety standards.

Responsibilities include calibrating equipment, preparing chemical solutions, and troubleshooting deviations. The position operates on a 2nd shift after initial training, with comprehensive pay and benefits typical for a

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in the sciences, preferably chemistry.
• Experience operating and maintaining laboratory equipment.
• Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel) and database systems.
• Ability to work with precision and accuracy.
• Basic understanding of chemistry and math.
• Good communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and conduct laboratory tests on materials and finished products.
• Collect, analyze, and document test results against quality standards.
• Identify and troubleshoot deviations in testing results.
• Calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare chemical solutions used in testing procedures.
• Perform swab testing and water sampling for third-party testing.
• Maintain logs of test results and corrective actions.
• Train new Lab Technicians on procedures.
• Collaborate to improve testing procedures and QA processes.
• Adhere to safety, health, and environmental regulations.
