Maintenance Technician – 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Shift | Manufacturing Expansion
Location: Franklin Park, IL

We are a fast-growing snack food manufacturer expanding into a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility in Franklin Park, IL. Due to this growth, we are hiring Maintenance Technicians for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts to support our expanding operations. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a new maintenance team and play a critical role in installing, setting up, and maintaining cutting-edge equipment in a highly automated production environment. What You’ll Do

  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on a wide range of mechanical and electrical equipment to keep production running efficiently
  • Complete preventive maintenance tasks according to daily and weekly schedules, minimizing equipment downtime
  • Diagnose and repair issues in high-speed manufacturing machinery, including conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, and hydraulic systems
  • Assist with facility expansion, including installing and setting up new production lines and equipment
  • Ensure plant operations meet safety, quality, and efficiency standards, working closely with production and engineering teams

What You Bring

  • At least 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting (experience in food, plastics, packaging, CPG, or other high-speed environments)
  • Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, including:
    • PLC troubleshooting and sensors
    • Hydraulics, motors, pumps, valves, and gearboxes
    • Electrical wiring (120/240/480V), AC/DC circuits, control voltage
    • Running conduit, pulling wires, and working with 3-phase motors
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and team-oriented, with a proactive approach to maintenance

Qualifications

  • Experience in food manufacturing is a plus
  • Technical certifications or an associate’s degree in maintenance-related fields
  • Advanced PLC troubleshooting or programming skills (ladder logic knowledge is a plus)
  • Additional experience in welding, pipefitting, boilers, or HVAC systems is beneficial
