Job summary

Schreiber Foods is offering a Quality Assurance Intern position at one of our US manufacturing facilities. This 100% on-site internship runs Monday–Friday and supports food safety, quality initiatives, and plant-specific projects.

You will document QA processes, input and analyze data, and assist with testing, HACCP, and audits while learning from the QA team. Candidates pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s in food science, dairy science, microbiology, or related fields, graduating in December 2027

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor's or master's in relevant field with graduation by December 2027 or later.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week during Summer 2027.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead small quality improvement projects with plants and teams.
  • Create and update documentation for food safety, quality, and lab processes.
  • Input and analyze data to support QA initiatives.
  • Assist with testing, HACCP, SQF, audits, and supplier quality projects.
  • Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans and customer requirements.

This internship will be focused on supporting food safety and quality initiatives, company objectives and plant-specific assignments. It is designed to prepare successful interns for a possible future career with Schreiber Foods.This internship is 100% on-site (Monday-Friday) and will be based at one of our US manufacturing facilities. Available locations include Shippensburg, PA; Grand Rapids, MI; Southwest Missouri; Stephenville, TX, Richland Center, WI; Beloit, WI, and Cache Valley, UT.Relocation Assistance is provided if relocating 50 miles or more for this internship.This is a paid internship with an hourly rate of pay: $20.75.What you’ll do:Lead small quality improvement projects within the team, working with plants and other areas of Schreiber FoodsCreating and updating documentation for food safety and quality and lab processesGaining knowledge about our products and applying that knowledge to improve processes and practicesInputting and analyzing dataCompleting projects related to testing, quality systems, sanitation, auditing, HACCP, training, SQF, suppliers, and other related topicsAssisting the quality teams on ongoing projectsTogether with the leadership team, ensures compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans, in addition to customer requirements. Interprets and communicates customer requirements to plant production and/or support groups. Establishes and Audits PCPs, CCPs and Standard Operating Procedures to define and monitor processes, to ensure customer requirements are met.
