Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector in Oak Brook, IL to inspect incoming packaging, raw materials, and in-process products to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards. The role includes sampling, testing, documentation, and cross-functional coordination with Production and Quality teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 1+ years of experience in quality control/assurance.
• Experience in cosmetics or pharmaceutical industries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sample and inspect incoming packaging and chemical raw materials to verify conformance with PO requirements, regulatory expectations, and internal quality standards.
• Verify container integrity and proper labeling before acceptance.
• Perform sampling of receipts and inspect items using visual checks and measurement devices.
• Document all inspection activities with complete and traceable records.
• Maintain organized files of inspection reports and vendor performance for supplier evaluation.
• Coordinate with Purchasing to establish and maintain quality standards with suppliers.
• Read and review specifications and batch records, following established procedures.
• Monitor line clearance functions to ensure production lines are properly cleared before operations begin.
• Issue production paperwork and labels for manufacturing and packaging operations.
• Draw samples from production lines for testing and retention, maintaining accurate records.
• Assist QA leadership with internal audits and Annual Product Review data.
