Actalent in Downers Grove, IL is seeking a Contract Quality Assurance Receiver to ensure incoming packaging and raw materials meet purchase orders, regulatory expectations, and internal standards. The role emphasizes detailed inspection, documentation, and collaboration with Purchasing and Quality Assurance to uphold product quality throughout production.

The position is second shift, onsite, with a pay rate of $20–$23 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year in QA, cosmetics/pharma preferred.
• Experience with document review and quality documentation practices.
• Working knowledge of GMP and its application in production.
• Strong computer literacy and experience with quality/document systems.
• Ability to understand vendor documentation for shelf-life/specs.
• Basic arithmetic and 2D measurement skills.
• Familiar with compliance steps for regulated production.

Responsibilities

• Sample and inspect incoming packaging and raw materials per PO, regulatory and QA standards.
• Verify container integrity and labeling before acceptance.
• Document inspection activities with complete traceable records.
• Coordinate with Purchasing to maintain supplier quality standards.
• Read and review specifications and batch records, ensuring procedures are followed.
