Job summary

Jabil in Saint Petersburg, FL is seeking a Quality Inspector/Engineer support role to assist the Quality Engineering team with inspections, non-conforming material containment, CAPA follow-up, and root cause investigations. You will gather technical records and prepare customer data packages for production batches.

The position requires 2–5 years of related experience, strong blueprint reading and inspection skills, and familiarity with FAI processes.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of related quality, manufacturing, inspection, or engineering support experience.
• Experience performing inspections, audits, and quality documentation activities in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting Quality Engineers and corrective action initiatives preferred.
• Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, measure, and test mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical components and assemblies.
• Gather and maintain technical records related to materials, tools, fixtures, and manufacturing processes.
• Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final product inspections.
• Prepare Quality Alerts and visual work instructions to support identification of non-conforming material.
• Perform in-process inspections and audits and log results for analysis and reporting.
• Collect records, photographs, and supporting documentation to prepare customer data packages for production batches.
• Assist inspectors as the first point of contact for quality defects and manufacturing issues.
• Review defect samples and verify the effectiveness of containment and purge activities.
• Provide guidance and training to less experienced technicians and inspectors.
• Collect and analyze quality data using statistical analysis methods.
• Assist Quality Engineers with follow-up activities related to Deviations, ECN, and CAPA.
• Review non-conforming materials and products to support disposition and corrective actions.
• Support root cause investigations and quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation.
