Job summary

VisionWorks in Texas is seeking a Manufacturing/Quality Inspector to verify work orders and lenses after AR coating, ensuring accurate matching and approving product quality. You will prepare scans and move finished items from the AR facility, maintaining workflow accuracy.

The role requires ability to read English, basic math, and safe lifting up to 50 pounds; responsibilities include ensuring AR and other coatings applied, organizing shipping, and compliance with QMS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience preferred.
• One to three years of related manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read English to interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize tray processing flow and ensure correct lens placement in trays.
• Perform cosmetic inspections to verify lenses meet VisionWorks standards.
• Identify and mark factory markings for progressive lens types.
• Verify lens is in the correct tray before inspection.
• Sort trays for AR shipping, AR bench, returns and defectives.
• Ensure all Cut jobs are transferred to AR to Bench.
• Confirm AR coatings have been applied before scanning to shipping status.
• Set up Innovation system so jobs scan to correct status.
• Wrap shipping jobs with required documentation and place in shipping bin.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and workstations and follow QMS.
