Job summary

GE Vernova in the United States is seeking a Quality Inspector to support manufacturing through process and material inspections, ensuring compliance with GE specifications and quality procedures.

The role requires PPE use, standing for long periods, lifting up to 40 lbs, and collaboration with Operations to interpret repair instructions and resolve non-conformances. Base pay ranges $22.88-$27.50; shift 2pm–10:30am; strong benefits package provided.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain necessary certifications.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Able to stand for extended periods on concrete floors.
• Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery.
• Experience in manufacturing.
• Must wear respirator.

Responsibilities

• Perform process inspection activities to confirm end results meet GE or Customer specifications.
• Perform material or chemical inspections to ensure product meets GE purchase specifications and usage parameters.
• Ensure all materials used are according to work instructions and approved by quality.
• Provide quality support in case of production stoppage.
• Assist Operations with interpretation of Repair Instructions (theoretical repairs).
• Perform Firewall Inspections.
• Assist to determine the scrapping of components by inspection and reporting.
• Participate in internal audits and CAPA actions.
• Root cause analysis for blade scrap or production capacity loss.
• Maintain a safe work environment and report hazards.
• Participate in vendor non-conformances and corrective actions.
• Wear PPE and follow health and safety instructions.
• Ensure integrity of quality records and QCR system.
• Other duties as assigned.
• May require respirator usage.
