Job summary

GE HealthCare is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure finished products meet specifications and quality standards. You will inspect products, perform tests, document findings, and collaborate with production teams to prevent non-conforming items.

Responsibilities include maintaining inspection certifications, following QMS procedures, and adapting to fast-paced manufacturing environments. Overtime may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED/equivalent.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Basic understanding of quality inspection (ie…medical devices) and understanding of regulated environment.
• The ability to follow both verbal and written instructions along with strong communication skills.
• Capability to use a computer and enter accurate data (Microsoft Office, Teams, Excel).
• Being flexible to changing needs of the business and department and will work overtime as needed.
• Organized and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares required inspection certifications. Typically reports to a supervisor. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area.
• Inspect Products: Review products and materials during manufacturing to ensure they meet company specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct Tests: Perform quality tests and measurements using various tools and equipment to identify defects or deviations from specifications.
• Document Findings: Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and quality control processes, summarizing rework and waste as necessary.
• Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with production teams to prevent non-conforming products and continuously improve manufacturing processes.
• Follow Quality Standards: Adhere to quality management system (QMS) procedures and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
