Job summary

KNF Neuberger, Inc. is hiring a QA Inspector for our Hamilton, NJ facility. The role focuses on inspecting components and finished products to meet engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

First Article Reports will be prepared, and daily inspections of parts will be conducted in-house using CMM and video-based measurement systems. The QA Inspector will support ISO 9001 compliance, document quality records, and assist in supplier issue investigations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing.
• Experience reading drawings, specs and inspection instructions including GD&T.
• Experience with metric measurements and calibration.
• Experience with CMM and video-based measurement systems.
• Familiarity with SAP QM and Lean Six Sigma is desirable.
• ISO 9001 and QMS familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect purchased components from inbound to ensure conformance to drawings and standards.
• Prepare First Article Inspection Reports for new components.
• Inspect daily first piece and in-process samples in-house.
• Investigate and resolve quality issues with suppliers and products.
• Support ISO 9001 and QMS procedures and documentation.
• Record and communicate quality concerns and improvement opportunities.
• Assist continuous improvement using Lean principles.

Join our Quality Team as a QA Inspector in our clean, temperature-controlled manufacturing facility in Hamilton, NJ (outside of Trenton) for first shift (flexible hours between 6:00am – 4:30pm).

In this role, the Quality Assurance Inspector will perform inspections to ensure purchased components and finished products meet company and customer standards and specifications.

The QA Inspector Will

• Inspect purchased components from incoming receiving to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Prepare First Article Inspection Reports for newly purchased components to ensure conformance to specifications and timely feedback to suppliers.
• Conduct daily inspections of first piece and in-process samples on components being manufactured by our in-house machine shop.
• Assist in the investigation and resolution of quality issues concerning purchased products.
• Support compliance with ISO 9001 and established Quality Management System procedures, particularly as it pertains to the inspection process.
• Identify, document and communicate quality concerns, nonconformances, and improvement opportunities to management.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives through the application of Lean Manufacturing principles and quality best practices.
• Create and maintain accurate quality records and documentation.
• Support corrective actions to ensure ongoing compliance with Quality Management System requirements.
• Provide guidance and support to inspectors and production personnel regarding inspection methods, quality standards, and acceptance criteria.
• Perform calibration, verification, and basic maintenance of inspection and measuring equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, and suppliers to address quality issues and improve product quality and process performance.

Skills And Experience

• High school diploma/GED required. Associates degree or some college coursework preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience reading engineering drawings, specifications and inspection instructions including geometric dimensioning and tolerances.
• Experience with metric system preferred.
• Experience operating and programming a video-based measurement system.
• Experience operating and programming a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).
• Experience with an ERP system; SAP QM module experience is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies is desirable.
• Calibration experience in an ISO certified environment preferred.
• Experience in medical, aerospace, automotive, or other manufacturing environments with stringent quality requirements is highly preferred.

Pay range: 2 8 − 33 per hour
