Job summary

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical training or associate degree in manufacturing, electronics, or quality preferred.
  • 1–3+ years in quality inspection or manufacturing environments.
  • Experience in AS9100 environment, ESD prevention, and FOD prevention.
  • IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A620, or J-STD-001 certification preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to read and interpret product documentation and inspection reports.
  • Experience with AS9102 FAIR (First Article Inspection Reports).
  • Basic GD&T understanding and ability to use standard measurement tools.
  • Ability to read ANSI Y14.5 drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Assist teams and processes authorized by the quality manager.
  • Determine the sequence of operations to ensure quality and AS9100 compliance.
  • Assist in processing of parts and equipment.
  • Compile and prepare records, charts, and communication of results and data.
  • Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency.
  • Address errors, complaints, suggestions and implement corrective procedures.
  • Inspect mechanical assemblies, electronic modules, and integrated systems for defects, dimensional accuracy, and workmanship standards.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, schematics, and BOMs; provide feedback to engineering.
  • Support root cause investigations and CAPA related to quality issues.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

The Quality Inspector is responsible for verifying materials, components, and finished products that meet defined engineering specifications, regulatory requirements, and internal quality standards. The Quality Inspector will conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections in compliance with the AS9100 Quality System, ensuring that the equipment meets strict quality and performance requirements. This role supports manufacturing operations by identifying and documenting inspection results and collaborating with teams to ensure product reliability and compliance.

Essential Functions
  • Assistteams, processes, or projects authorized by the quality manager.
  • Determinethe manner and sequence of operations and processing as it relates to quality and compliance with AS9100 requirements.
  • Assist inprocessing of parts and equipment.

  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Calendar.
  • Experience with internal audits.
  • Experience reading and interpreting product documentation (Material Certs, Inspection Reports)
  • Experience with AS9102 FAIR (First Article Inspection Reports)
  • Basic GD&T understanding and ability to use standard measurement tools (Micrometers, Calipers, Pin Gauges, etc.)
  • Ability to read ANSI Y14.5 drawings
