The Quality Test Specialist is responsible for performing inspections, testing, and verification of products to ensure compliance with customer specifications, internal standards, and applicable industry requirements. This position supports production by conducting detailed evaluations, documenting results, and identifying non-conforming material. The Quality Test Specialist works closely with production, engineering, and management to maintain high quality standards and continuous improvement efforts in accordance with ISO9001/AS9100 requirements.

Essential Functions
- Inspection & Testing:
- Perform inprocess and final inspections of parts and assemblies.
- Conduct dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision measurement tools.
- Perform coating thickness testing, hardness testing, adhesion testing, or other required quality tests.
- Verify product compliance with print specifications, customer requirements, and MilSpec standards as applicable.
- Review first article inspections (FAI) as required.
- Document and record inspection results accurately.
- Quality Assurance & Documentation:
- Complete inspection reports, test records, and quality documentation.
- Review job travelers, work orders, and certifications for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure proper traceability and record retention in accordance with company policies.
- Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming materials.
- Assist in root cause investigations and corrective action processes.
- Maintain calibration records and verify testing equipment is within calibration.
- Process Improvement & Support:
- Support production teams by providing guidance on quality requirements.
- Assist with internal audits and external audit preparation.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with ISO9001/AS9100 and customerspecific requirements.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized inspection area.
- Properly handle and store testing equipment and materials.
- Participate in required safety and quality training.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 24 years of quality inspection or testing experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience working within ISO9001/AS9100 systems preferred.
- Familiarity with MilSpec and customer specifications preferred.
- Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments.
- Basic math skills for measurements, tolerances, and calculations.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Experience with nonconformance reporting and corrective actions preferred.
- Computer proficiency for data entry and documentation.
Essential Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods since this role may require occasional visits to the production floor to observe processes or gather data, candidates should be able to stand or walk for periods of time in a manufacturing environment.
- Fine motor skills and manual dexterity required for tasks such as data entry, handling documents, and using various analytical tools or equipment that may be part of cost analysis processes.
- The ability to read and interpret detailed data, charts, spreadsheets, and technical information on computer screens and paper documents. This includes viewing production processes and materials closely during audits or assessments.
- Ability to Lift and Carry up to 20 Pounds: Though not a physically demanding job, occasional lifting and carrying of equipment, files, or documents may be required, especially during onsite reviews or when working with productionrelated materials.
