Job description

The In-Process Inspector is responsible for ensuring that quality standards are met to support production needs.

Responsibilities:

1. Report any machine or mold problems immediately to the molding technician or supervisor.
2. Read and follow instructions on the Q.A.R (Quality Assurance Requirements) for each startup.
3. Perform visual and gauging inspections as noted on the Q.A.R.
4. Maintain control charts as specified on the Q.A.R.
5. Report any quality-related issues to the Molding Technician and Quality Auditor.
6. Separate runners from production, if needed.
7. Perform material handling for products as required.
8. Follow and support the Quality System Procedures and Work Instructions.
9. Adhere to company safety rules and maintain a clean, organized work area.
10. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Molding Technician.
11. Contribute positively to the GW Plastics San Antonio team, demonstrating cooperation and a supportive attitude.
12. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Math aptitude.
• Good communication skills.
• Computer literacy (preferred).
• Gage training (desired).

Physical Demands:

Requires standing, lifting, kneeling, twisting, climbing stairs and ladders. Must wear personal protective equipment. Capable of exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly to move objects.

Working Environment:

Indoor and outdoor work involving walking, standing, sitting, hearing, bending, crouching. May be exposed to extreme noise, temperatures, uneven ground, and hazards. Ability to operate a company vehicle. Use of computers, phones, printers, and calculators. Shift work and holidays are required.

Shift Details:

• Two rotating days off.
• 8 am to 8 pm and 8 pm to 8 am shifts.
• 12-hour shifts with rotating days and nights, 36 to 48 hours per week.

Additional Requirements:

• Vision (near and distance).
• Sense of hearing (for alarms and communication).
