Job Title: Quality Assurance Inspector

Location:Davenport IA

Schedule: 1st shift (7am-3pm) + Voluntary Overtime

Industry: Manufacturing / Cutting Tools

Job Summary:

DES Employment Group is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Inspector to join our client’s manufacturing team. This position is responsible for performing quality inspections, tests, and evaluations of materials, components, and finished cutting tool products to ensure compliance with technical specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and test incoming materials, parts, and components used in cutting tool manufacturing.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and pin gauges to verify product specifications.
• Interpret technical procedures, blueprints, and business documents.
• Document and report inspection results clearly and accurately.
• Rework or reject non-conforming finished products based on inspection findings.
• Utilize a computer regularly to input data and generate reports.
• Use a tool scope for detailed visual inspections requiring good visual acuity.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in quality assurance or a manufacturing environment .
• Proficient in the use of inspection tools and instruments.
• Strong understanding of quality control processes and documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and procedures.
• Comfortable using computers and related software.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Able to work independently with strong attention to detail.
• Must have the physical ability to perform the duties, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
