Acara Solutions is seeking a Quality Assurance II (Inspector) for a direct hire position in Addison, IL.

Office hours: Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm, with two Saturdays per month depending on business needs. Compensation ranges from $23-$27/hour based on experience. Previous aerospace experience is a plus.

Job Duties

Summary: The Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for inspecting manufactured and purchased components at incoming, in-process, and final stages. The role supports RCCA, Corrective Action, Internal Audit, and compliance with QMS and regulatory standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Review supplier documentation for compliance and process receipt/nonconformance transactions in ERP.
• Perform customer-specific inspections and generate inspection reports.
• Conduct dock-to-stock, in-process, and final inspections.
• Record first pass yield data and measurement documentation.
• Prepare FAIRs using dedicated software.
• Prepare documentation for customer and regulatory inspections.
• Support Material Review Board processes for nonconforming products.
• Participate in RCCA and Corrective Action efforts.
• Coordinate calibration activities with external metrology providers.
• Perform functional and acceptance testing on final products and document results.
• Maintain knowledge of QMS, AS9100, FAA, EASA, and other regulatory requirements.
• Understand ITAR/EAR regulations related to aerospace and defense contracting.
• Use discretion and independent judgment in primary duties.
• Demonstrate mastery in using inspection and measurement equipment, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMMs, etc.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• Level II: 4+ years of quality experience or a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Level III: 10+ years of experience (minimum 5 in quality) or a combination of experience and education.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, routers, BOMs, etc.
• Experience with MRP systems.
