Per Sé Group is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Field Inspector to support industrial construction and capital projects for a leading energy organization.
This is a hands-on, field-focused opportunity to help ensure contractors meet established quality standards, project specifications, and industry codes. You'll work alongside construction management teams, contractor QC personnel, and project stakeholders to identify deficiencies, verify critical work, and help prevent costly rework.
If Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), contractor quality audits, pressure testing, electrical testing, field surveillance, and construction specifications are part of your expertise, we should talk.
Conduct field quality surveillance and inspections across mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, and coatings activities.
Review contractor Quality Manuals, procedures, and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) for compliance with project requirements.
Monitor contractor workmanship against approved ITPs, specifications, industry codes, and quality standards.
Witness critical activities, including pressure testing, bolt torquing and tensioning, electrical connections, insulation testing, concrete work, and coatings applications.
Identify quality deficiencies, document findings, and coordinate corrective actions with construction management and contractor teams.
Review field discrepancies against drawings and specifications and communicate issues for resolution.
Participate in contractor readiness reviews, onboarding, and performance meetings.
Track deficiencies through resolution and support quality closeout activities.
Prepare daily quality reports documenting inspections, risks, issues, and observations.
Identify lessons learned and recommend improvements to quality processes and standards.
8-10 years of relevant industrial construction quality assurance or inspection experience.
Strong understanding of construction QA/QC practices, industry codes, specifications, and inspection requirements.
Experience reviewing and auditing contractor Quality Manuals and Inspection Test Plans.
Hands-on experience performing field surveillance and witnessing critical construction activities.
Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, civil/structural, and coatings inspection requirements.
Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and quality documentation.
Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with contractor QC personnel and construction management teams.
High school diploma with relevant certifications or equivalent quality assurance experience.
Schedule: Four 10-hour days per week
Duration: Initial one-year contract with potential extension
Travel: Travel between U.S. project sites, with eligible mileage reimbursed at the IRS rate
Location: Local candidates preferred; non-local candidates considered
Per Diem: $176 per calendar day for eligible non-local contractors
Mobilization: Eligible non-local contractors receive approved mobilization and demobilization reimbursement at the IRS mileage rate or economy airfare
