Job summary

Flexco, a leading global manufacturer with a long-standing reputation, seeks a Quality Assurance Engineer in the Grand Rapids area to join a brand-new state-of-the-art facility. You will drive quality inspections, develop standards, and participate in internal audits, collaborating with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
• Possess or willing to obtain at least one quality-related certification within the first year.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a quality role within manufacturing.
• Hands-on inspection experience and knowledge of quality tools (ISO 9001, SPC, RCA).
• Able to work cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering and Supply Chain.

Responsibilities

• Investigate internal, supplier, and customer quality issues with containment and closure.
• Lead or contribute to structured problem-solving (RCA, 8D) and implement corrective actions.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and improve process performance.
• Monitor and report quality metrics, ensuring data accuracy and trend identification.
• Apply SPC, define parameters, and support operator understanding where needed.
• Support continuous improvement with Lean and Six Sigma to enhance quality and efficiency.
• Contribute to FMEA development and updates for risk mitigation.
• Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring documentation compliance.
