Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum 5 years of exempt experience.
• Master’s degree provides 3 years of experience equivalence; PhD 0 years.

Responsibilities

• Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into finished products.
• Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing to ensure quality standards are in place; devises and implements methods for inspecting, testing and evaluating quality of products and production equipment.
• Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; performs statistical analysis to assess cost and responsibility for non-conforming products.
• Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction; ensures corrective actions meet reliability standards and documentation is compliant with requirements.
• May specialize in areas such as design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or R&D as they apply to product or process quality; may be certified in lean and six-sigma methodologies.
