Job summary

Kyocera International, Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer at our Hendersonville, NC location to support the Quality Management System and serve as the quality representative with customers, suppliers, and during regulatory audits.

You will review customer specifications, lead root cause analysis, develop 8D reports, and drive continuous improvement using PFMEA, SPC, and Control Plans. You’ll also participate in design reviews and FAIs, maintain QMS documentation, and support audits

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or technical field, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of quality systems and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with customer specifications, SOWs, and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of SPC, Pareto charts, control charts, and trend analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to convey technical data.

Responsibilities

• Review customer specifications, contracts, and requirements for compliance.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions (8D, 5-Why, FTA).
• Prepare 8D reports for major issues and customer claims.
• Support continuous improvement with PFMEA, SPC, and Control Plans.
• Coordinate SPC activities and analyze data, trends, and performance.
• Create quality reports, procedures, training materials, and QMS docs.
• Support audits and participate in design reviews and FAIs.
• Provide inspection support and ensure ISO 9001, 14001, AS9100 compliance.
