Job summary

Kyocera International, Inc. in Hendersonville, NC is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to support the Quality Manager and serve as the quality focal point with customers, suppliers, and during audits.

The role emphasizes problem-solving, process control, and continuous improvement within a manufacturing/cleanroom environment. The position requires a 4-year engineering degree, strong knowledge of quality tools, and experience with ISO/AS standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• Strong knowledge of quality systems and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with SPC, Pareto analysis, control charts, and trend analysis.
• Ability to work in an ITAR-controlled environment.

Responsibilities

• Review customer specifications, contracts, and requirements for compliance.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions (8D, 5-Why, FTA).
• Prepare 8D reports for major manufacturing issues and customer claims.
• Support audits and maintain QMS documentation.
• Work in manufacturing/cleanroom to identify and resolve quality issues.
• Coordinate SPC activities and analyze quality data and trends.
• Assist with SAP QMS processes and train others as needed.
