Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. in Los Alamos, NM, seeks a seasoned Quality Assurance Engineer IV to contribute to critical DOE projects at the Los Alamos National Laboratory. You will lead the development and evaluation of QA processes, ensure compliance with security and safety requirements, and mentor junior staff.

The role requires 12+ years of relevant experience, U.S. citizenship, and the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, Industrial Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• U.S. Citizenship is required due to federal contract security.
• DOE Q security clearance eligibility and ability to obtain/maintain clearance.
• Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven background checks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The main duties include, but are not limited to:

• Guides the development, implementation, and evaluation of processes, procedures and applications contributing to the overall objectives of maintaining an effective quality program.

• Viewed as an expert in the field within the Laboratory. Works on unusually significant, unique or complex issues.

• Has impact on successes of future concepts, products or technologies.
• Erroneous decisions or recommendations would normally result in failure to reach goals crucial to significant organizational objectives and would profoundly affect the image of the organization.
• Creates formal networks involving coordination among groups, and other key decision makers.

Education and Licensure

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, Industrial Systems Engineering, or a related field. (Required)

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least12 Years of relevant experienceor equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
• Due to federal contract security requirements, this position requires U.S. Citizenship.(required)
• Due to federal contract security requirements, candidates must be able to successfully pass a federal background investigation to secure and maintain DOE Q security clearance.(required)
• Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing. (required)
