Job summary

Safran Seats in Gainesville, Texas, is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer II to help deliver high-quality aircraft seating solutions for customers worldwide. You will ensure product conformity, support quality processes, and use data-driven tools to drive continuous improvement.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor of Science in a technical field or 12 years of equivalent experience, 2+ years in aerospace or quality roles, and intermediate knowledge of RCCA, AS9100, and APQP.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or 12 years equivalent experience in a technical field required.
  • 2+ years in aerospace, engineering, or quality roles preferred.
  • Intermediate experience in Continuous Improvement.
  • Intermediate knowledge of RCCA.
  • Intermediate understanding of AS9100, APQP.
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, tolerances and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure shipment of defect-free products meeting customer requirements.
  • Ensure product-process control per customer and company specs.
  • Define, monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of quality plans and QRQC.
  • Collect and analyze data on quality performance indicators using quality tools (Etq, QMS).
  • Make qualitative decisions on part conformity to SAFRAN quality requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Assure shipment of product which meets the customer requirements - ship a product free of defects
  • Assure the product-process control according to the customer and company specifications
  • Define, monitor and evaluate the effectivity of quality plans and practices and maintain, follow up and control QRQC process
  • Collect, analyze and oversee data entry on relevant quality performance indicators, manage quality through quality data using quality tools such as Etq and QMS
  • Make qualitative decisions on part conformity with SAFRAN applicable Quality requirements

Qualifications & Experience
  • Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related technical field or 12 years equivalent related experience in lieu of degree
  • Requires 2+ years experience in aerospace industry or equivalent in engineering, or quality positions
  • Intermidiate experience in Implementation of Continuous Improvement
  • Intermidiate knowledge/process of RCCA
  • Intermidiate understanding of AS9100, APQP
  • Must be able to read and interpret average to complex blueprints, drawings, diagrams, tolerance information and procedure manuals
