Job summary
Safran Seats in Gainesville, Texas, seeks a Quality Assurance Engineer II to join our performance and support team. You will assure shipment of products that meet customer requirements, maintain quality plans, and monitor QRQC processes to drive defect-free output.
Ideal candidates have a BS in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial or related field or equivalent experience, 2+ years in aerospace quality, and familiarity with quality tools like Etq and QMS; read blueprints and interpret tolerances
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or 12 years related experience in lieu of degree.
- 2+ years in aerospace quality or related engineering roles.
- Experience implementing Continuous Improvement.
- Knowledge of RCCA processes.
- Understanding of AS9100 and APQP.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and tolerances.
Responsibilities
- Ensure shipment of products meeting customer requirements and defect-free.
- Ensure product-process control per customer and company specs.
- Define, monitor and evaluate quality plans and QRQC.
- Collect and analyze quality data using quality tools such as Etq and QMS.
- Make qualitative decisions on part conformity to SAFRAN quality requirements.

- Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related technical field or 12 years equivalent related experience in lieu of degree
- Requires 2+ years experience in aerospace industry or equivalent in engineering, or quality positions
- Intermidiate experience in Implementation of Continuous Improvement
- Intermidiate knowledge/process of RCCA
- Intermidiate understanding of AS9100, APQP
- Must be able to read and interpret average to complex blueprints, drawings, diagrams, tolerance information and procedure manuals
