Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a Quality Engineer II to ensure the highest quality of products and services. The QE will drive problem reporting, CAPA, and continuous improvement across manufacturing and supplier interactions.

The role involves coordinating audits, leading corrective actions, and performing PPAPs with a focus on meeting customer acceptance criteria and IS0 AS9100/AS9102 standards. ITAR compliance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of related experience or Master’s with 3+ years.
• Experience with quality systems, audits, and continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001: AS9100 standards and audits.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work with Quality Technicians and inspectors.
• Drive corrective actions and failure analysis in a timely manner.
• Participate in PRR and coordinate Final Inspection activities.
• Lead quality improvement strategies and inspection planning.
• Perform process capabilities analysis and PPAP processes.
• Review contracts to flow down customer requirements and NPI specs.
• Support internal/external audits and KPI reporting.
• Reduce defects through data analysis and team problem-solving.
• Communicate with customers and suppliers to resolve gaps.
