Job summary

MPR Associates, Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer in Alexandria, VA to uphold and improve our quality assurance program across nuclear, medical device, and other regulated projects. You will participate in audits, supplier qualifications, corrective actions, and continuous improvement efforts while collaborating with project engineers and leadership.

The role requires two+ years in a technical setting, familiarity with ASME NQA-1/ISO 13485/ISO 9001, and strong MS Office skills. U.S.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent technical experience.
• ASME NQA-1, ISO 13485, or ISO 9001 certifications or training desired.
• Two or more years of experience in engineering or manufacturing activities is preferred.
• Prior experience with ASME NQA-1/ISO 13485/ISO 9001 quality programs with audits and corrective actions is preferred.
• Experience with US Navy Nuclear QA or similar programs is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform internal audits of the MPR quality program.
• Perform supplier qualification activities, including on-site audits of suppliers.
• Define corrective actions and process improvement initiatives with the Corrective Action Review Team and verify implementation.
• Evaluate changes to industry standards to assess impact on the quality program.
• Conduct trend analyses of quality, supplier, and client satisfaction metrics.
• Oversee quality program requirements across projects and ensure proper implementation.
• Review documentation to confirm contractual and quality requirements are understood.
• Review test procedures and results for compliance with the quality program.
• Prepare materials for management review meetings and track resulting actions.
