Job summary

Applied Composites (AC) is seeking an Engineer, Quality who provides expert knowledge while defining and implementing quality assurance solutions to a wide range of complex issues. They will ensure a high reliability and proper performance per product requirements.

They are responsible for analyzing reports and defective products to determine trends and recommend corrective actions, while working with cross-functional teams in San Diego to uphold regulatory standards and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of relevant quality engineering experience.
• Ability to adapt to changes in environment and priorities.
• Strong problem solving and data analysis skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review manuals to ensure processes and materials meet standards.
• Investigate material and production problems using root cause analysis.
• Manage build manual revisions and control access to current docs.
• Ensure quoting data and proposals meet standards.
• Create AS9100 first article documentation.
• Lead root cause analysis of production and material processes.
• Develop tests and experiments for improvements.
• Participate in Material Review Board processes.
• Ensure compliance with government, customer, and regulatory bodies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
