Job summary

Edgewater Technical Associates, LLC is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer 4 in Richland, WA to support Los Alamos National Laboratory. This role focuses on leading quality assurance activities, reviewing drawings, and ensuring compliance with QA standards across welding and mechanical work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, Industrial Systems Engineering, or a related field, and a minimum of 12 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Strong quality assurance background with hands‑on inspection experience involving welding and mechanical activities.
• Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, procedures, and technical documentation.
• Advanced knowledge of quality assurance principles, processes, procedures, and standards.
• Demonstrated ability to independently evaluate complex quality issues and develop effective solutions.
• Auditing and surveillance experience, including coordination across engineering, construction, quality, vendors, and other internal or external stakeholders.
• Experience supporting vendor or third‑party quality activities, including review and application of QA specifications and vendor quality requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to provide technical guidance at multiple organizational levels.

Per diem: Available for those who qualify.

Location: Richland, WA Duty Station

Group/Organization: IQPA-PIQ

Schedule: 4/10 Schedule (OT, if need arises)
