  • Advanced knowledge of QA principles, processes, procedures, and standards.
  • Ability to independently evaluate complex QA issues and propose solutions.
  • Auditing/surveillance experience coordinating across multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting vendor/third-party QA activities and reviewing QA specs.

Responsibilities

  • Guide the development, implementation, and improvement of QA processes and procedures.
  • Provide senior-level QA expertise and technical leadership for complex QA activities.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, procedures, and work docs for QA compliance.
  • Support vendor activities through quality planning, inspection, surveillance, and documentation.
  • Perform and support inspections and audits with emphasis on welding and mechanical work.
  • Provide QA support for vendors and third-party suppliers, including documentation and compliance.
  • Identify quality issues, corrective actions, and risk-reduction opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain required QA documentation and records.
  • Work independently and resolve complex quality issues with sound judgment.

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Guide the development, implementation, and improvement of quality assurance processes and procedures.
  • Provide senior-level QA expertise and technical leadership for complex quality activities.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, procedures, and work documents for compliance with quality requirements.

  • Work independently and exercise sound judgment in resolving complex quality issues.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, Industrial Systems Engineering, or a related field, and a minimum of 12 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Strong quality assurance background with hands‑on inspection experience involving welding and mechanical activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, procedures, and technical documentation.
  • Advanced knowledge of quality assurance principles, processes, procedures, and standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently evaluate complex quality issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Demonstrated auditing and surveillance experience, including coordination across engineering, construction, quality, vendors, and other internal or external stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting vendor or third-party quality activities, including review and application of QA specifications and vendor quality requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to provide technical guidance at multiple organizational levels.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) certifications are preferred but not required.
