Job summary

Software Technology Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to drive the planning, development, and implementation of testing activities ensuring the NC FAST application meets functional, performance, and quality standards.

The contract resource will lead testing efforts, collaborate with analysts, developers, and product owners, and own the creation of test conditions, cases, and scripts, including automated testing with Qtest and Tosca.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in requirements analysis and automated test script development.
• 5+ years manual or automated testing with testing tools, test plans, and review of test cases.
• 5+ years strong analytical and problem solving.
• 5+ years good oral and written communications with developers, analysts, and others.
• 5+ years Agile experience (Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe).
• 2+ years developing and executing Tosca automation test scripts.
• Experience with testing Curam products.
• Health and human services testing experience highly desired.
• Experience executing SQL to validate or test highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements for testability and completeness using Functional Specification Documents, Business Requirements Documents and Technical Design Documents.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, product owners, scrum masters, and other team members to clarify requirements, expectations, and resolve issues.
• Take ownership of developing requirements into test conditions, test case scenarios and test scripts, and drive them to completion.
• Orchestrate development and execution of automated scripts using QTest and Tosca to thoroughly test software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive test documentation, defect records, and traceability.
• Drives quality assurance activities across functional, integration, regression, system, and end to end testing.
• Evaluate test cases and other testing artifacts to ensure the accuracy and completeness of all test artifacts.
• Drive the coordination for testing, reports and tracks testing problems by providing reproducible test cases.
• Work with other product team members to diagnose and recreate problems as well as prioritize and implement solutions and close problem reports.
• Oversee scripting data collection and analysis according to the project plan schedule and ensuring adherence to standard practices and procedures.
• Actively participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups.
• Identify and communicate risks with team and provide solutions before issues impact project delivery.

NC FAST requires the services of a Quality Assurance Engineer to drive the planning, development, and implementation of testing activities to ensure the application meets functional, performance, and quality standards.

The NC Department of Health and Human Services seeks a contractor resource to drive the development and implementation of NC Families Accessing Services through Technology (NC FAST) as a Quality Assurance Engineer. We are looking for a self-driven QA Engineer who will take initiative and ownership of testing activities by proactively managing tasks to meet timely deadlines, working independently with minimal supervision, accurately communicating identified issues, and delivering high quality QA results.
