Job summary

Zeal IT Consultants is seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer with 4–6 years of experience to ensure web application quality through manual testing and supporting automated frameworks.

You will design test plans, execute functional and regression tests, build and maintain automated scripts, and collaborate with developers and product managers to improve quality and release reliability.

At Zeal, we are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive QA Engineer with 4–6 years of experience in software quality assurance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of web applications through comprehensive manual testing while contributing to the design, implementation, and maintenance of automated test frameworks. This role requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams and a passion for improving testing processes, product quality, and overall user experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on business and technical requirements.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and exploratory testing.
• Identify, document, track, and verify software defects throughout the development lifecycle.
• Create, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Execute automated test suites and analyze test results.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback from a quality assurance perspective.
• Support CI/CD initiatives by integrating automated tests into deployment pipelines.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and best practices.
• Assist in root cause analysis and troubleshooting of production issues when needed.
• Ensure testing coverage across multiple platforms and environments.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
• Strong experience with Manual Testing methodologies and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools.
• Proficiency with one or more of the following automation tools like Selenium, Playwright, and Cypress
• Experience creating and maintaining automated test scripts.
• Solid understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Experience working with defect tracking and test management tools.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work independently while effectively managing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
