Job summary

Overhead Door Corporation is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer (Finance) to support the plant and customer service teams in Pensacola, FL. This role will be an individual contributor focusing on QA processes and ensuring products meet customer and company specifications while maintaining smooth production flow.

The position emphasizes quality documentation, defect reduction, and collaboration with manufacturing, purchasing, and service teams to resolve issues and drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Ability to lead continuous improvement project.
• Ability to participate and/or facilitate Kaizen events.
• Possess a Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Understands and can demonstrate knowledge of LeanSigma methodologies.
• Experience in supervision.
• ASQ Certifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure that product quality is attained through fulfillment by following workmanship standards and quality program requirements.
• Identifies and reports quality problems.
• Recommends and implements preventive and corrective action to quality and/or manufacturing issues.
• Reviews all related quality documentation and approves as appropriate to ensure product quality.
• Generates, leads and implements defect-reduction activities.
• Works with manufacturing and purchasing to process all material rejects.
• Works with vendors on non-conformances as well as material improvements.
• Works with customer service to find resolution to customer issues.
• Provide product support to outside sales.
• Contributes to all process/product improvement implementations.
• Facilitate brain storming activities
