Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Quality Assurance Director to join a leader in Pharmaceuticals & Biotech. This senior role guides strategic quality and regulatory engagements across GxP in a global setting, blending client advisory with consulting leadership and practice development. Remote position for US-based candidates; travel required for project delivery.

Compensation ranges from $170,000 to $240,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.

• Mentor and coach consultants and project directors within the Quality & Regulatory practice.
• Collaborate with teams to align resources with strategic client needs.
• Support practice planning and service-line evolution under the direction of senior leadership.

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Quality Assurance Director to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space.

This role will serve as a senior leader across strategic quality and regulatory engagements, helping clients navigate complex GxP environments and global compliance requirements. The position blends executive-level client advisory work with consulting leadership, business development support, and practice development. You will also help shape service delivery, mentor team members, and represent the organization in industry-facing settings.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $170,000 - $240,000 annually

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific, regulatory, engineering, or related discipline preferred
• 16-20 years of experience in life sciences quality, compliance, or regulatory roles, including consulting and/or owner-side leadership
• Demonstrated success in complex GxP, regulatory, and quality system initiatives
• Strong knowledge of global regulatory frameworks, including FDA, EMA, MHRA, ICH, and WHO
• Proven ability to support sales and business development in a consulting environment
• Executive presence with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to travel regularly for project delivery and client needs
