M. J. Electric is seeking a Quality Assurance Coordinator in Michigan to advance the QA/QC culture across our Industrial, Power & Controls Division. You will partner with field teams, project leadership, and customers to ensure our Quality Management System is implemented consistently.

• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of MJE’s web-based Quality Inspection System.
• Support the creation, implementation, and auditing of QA/QC policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Train and coach field leadership to prepare project quality plans and execute ITPs.
• Assist with QMS related operations training to strengthen quality knowledge and field execution.
• Build strong working relationships with field teams to improve communication and drive adoption of quality processes.
• Promote high standards of field craftsmanship across all projects.
• Conduct project site assessments to evaluate compliance with MJE and customer quality requirements.
• Recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to improve processes and performance.
• Collaborate with customers and project teams to resolve quality challenges and develop corrective actions.
• Support communication of the company’s Quality Policy across operations.

About this Role – Quality Assurance Coordinator

We are looking for a talented Quality Assurance Coordinator who has a passion for quality construction. This position will play a key part in advancing the quality culture across our Industrial, Power & Controls Division. You will partner closely with field teams, project leadership, and customers to ensure our Quality Management System (QMS) is implemented effectively and consistently.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and refine standardized forms and documents for testing and inspection activities.
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of MJE’s web-based Quality Inspection System.
• Support the creation, implementation, and auditing of QA/QC policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Train and coach field leadership to prepare project quality plans and execute Inspection and Testing Plans (ITPs) according to company standards.
• Assist with QMS related operations training to strengthen quality knowledge and field execution.
• Build strong working relationships with field teams to improve communication and drive adoption of quality processes.
• Promote high standards of field craftsmanship across all projects.
• Conduct project site assessments to evaluate compliance with MJE and customer quality requirements.
• Recommend and support Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) plans to improve processes and performance.
• Work closely with customers, quality representatives, project leadership, and field personnel to resolve quality related challenges and develop corrective actions.
• Support communication and execution of the company’s Strategic Plan, Mission, and Quality Policy across all levels of operations.

What You’ll Bring

• Knowledge and experience of a wide range of construction processes, procedures, safety, and quality requirements
• Ability to collect and assemble data for the development of process improvement.
• Ability to communicate and interact with project leadership.
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems
• Willingness to travel and work from jobsites, approximately 50%
• Strong PC skills and software proficiency
• Bachelor’s or Associates degree, or Journeyman Electrician/Wireman Certification. Equivalent experience will be considered.
• Preference will be given to candidates with an inside journeyman license/certification and the willingness and ability to support MJE’s licensing program.
• 5 years minimum construction-related experience, preferably within the heavy industrial construction industry
• An equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
