Job summary

RigUp, Inc. is seeking a Project Quality Coordinator to implement the Project Quality Plan across the assigned scope, providing QA/QC leadership for engineering, procurement, and site activities.

The role may assume PQC or SQC duties as needed, with relocation to Midland, TX after Spring in Spring, TX. The candidate will drive surveillance plans, train staff, review contractor quality plans, and ensure compliance with contracts and specs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Associate degree in Engineering or Science preferred.
  • Extensive experience auditing quality management systems.
  • Worldwide experience with Contractors and Suppliers in Oil and Gas projects.

Responsibilities

  • Promote quality awareness throughout the project.
  • Ensure establishment and proper implementation of control processes within the subproject team.
  • Provide training for key staff.
  • Oversee Contractor's implementation of their Quality program and compliance with project requirements.
  • Review Contractor's Quality Plan and ITPs.
  • Participate in qualified audits and surveillance programs.
  • Coordinate subproject Surveillance Plans and site audits.
  • Report quality metrics and lessons learned to Project Management.

Job Description:

The Project Quality Coordinator is responsible for implementing the Project Quality Plan in assigned scope of work and providing leadership to drive the implementation of engineering, procurement, and site quality systems. This role provides quality assurance and quality control technical expertise to ensure that services, equipment, and materials supplied to the project meet contract, purchase order, specification, and statutory requirements. The position may take on the role of Procurement Quality Coordinator (PQC) or Site Quality Coordinator (SQC) until they are assigned.

  • Job will be in Spring, Tx until first quarter then will move to Midland, Tx
  • Candidates must be willing to relocate to Midland, Tx
Responsibilities:
  • Promote quality awareness throughout the project
  • Ensure establishment and proper implementation of adequate control processes within the subproject Project Team (PT), as stipulated in the Project Plan and the Project Quality Plan
  • Provide training for key staff
  • Ensure execution of Surveillance Programs through development of Surveillance Plans and through ongoing monitoring and auditing
  • Provide oversight of Contractor's implementation of their Quality program and compliance with project requirements:
  • Approve Contractor's Quality organization and monitor performance of key Quality Assurance (QA) staff
  • Review Contractor's standard contract and purchase order quality requirements language
  • Review and approve Contractor's Quality Plan and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
  • Perform scheduled periodic assessments of the Contractor's activities to evaluate and monitor implementation of Contractor's Quality Management systems
  • Participate in qualification of proposed Subcontractors or Suppliers
  • Ensure Contractor's surveillance activities are commensurate with Criticality Ratings
  • Review Contractor's quality audit schedule, monitor Contractor's audit program, and participate in selected audits
  • Review Quality Plan of Suppliers of critical equipment/material in conjunction with Procurement Quality Coordinator (PQC)
  • Ensure Contractor is performing quality reporting per the contract
  • Monitor and audit implementation of PT Procurement and Construction Surveillance Programs
  • Develop and coordinate subproject Audit Schedule, conduct site audits within sub-projects, and assist Quality Manager in conduct of project audits, as needed
  • Review metrics from engineering, procurement, and construction sites to identify and assist in resolution of issues
  • Report quality issues, status, metrics, and lessons learned to Project Management
  • Manage efforts to resolve quality issues and make improvements to quality activities
  • Evaluate and monitor implementation of Contractor's quality management systems and drive improvement to close deficiencies in performance
  • Oversee the development and implementation of Project specific Surveillance Plans and Procedures
  • Monitor metrics to identify, investigate, and resolve quality issues
  • Provide direction/oversight to discipline inspectors and support to the Project Team as it relates to quality issues
  • Assist function in selection of SQC positions and assist Sites in selection of inspectors
  • Steward the Procurement and Construction Surveillance Programs until the respective coordinator (i.e., PQC, SQC) is assigned
  • Review and assist in development of Quality portion of site close-out reports as necessary
  • Advise and inform Project Manager and Quality Manager on quality issues, status, and metrics
  • Ensure best practices and lessons learned are implemented and that new lessons learned are identified and distributed as required
Skills and Qualifications:
Education:
  • Bachelor or Associate degree in Engineering or Science preferred
Required Experience:
  • Experience in quality assurance/control of field construction and completions activities
  • Experience in responsible roles in Quality Management and coordination of quality activities for projects of various facilities in the Oil and Gas Industry
  • Experience in management of project quality systems
  • Extensive experience with auditing quality management systems
  • Worldwide experience with Contractors and Suppliers involved in production facilities projects
  • Experience with project completions and documentation for operations turnover
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience working in client role on major production facilities projects
Certifications and Skills:
  • Technical discipline certifications commensurate with work experience
  • Qualification/certification in auditing and in inspection disciplines is preferred
  • Willing and able to business travel (domestic/overseas) to project sites to provide various levels of support

Location: Midland, Texas

Schedule: 6/1

Pay: $80.00/Hr

Per Diem will also be offered if living more than 100 miles from the work location – 125/day
