Job summary

RWdy-Inc seeks a Quality Assurance Coordinator III to lead field QA/QC activities on major oil and gas projects. The role involves implementing the Project Quality Plan, auditing contractor compliance, and training staff across multiple sites, with travel to domestic and international project sites.

The position requires strong experience in quality management, auditing, and a customer-facing mindset to ensure timely quality deliverables and lessons learned are shared with the Project Management

Qualifications

• Experience in quality assurance and control of field construction and completions activities.
• Engineering or Science degree preferred.
• Willing and able to travel domestically and overseas to project sites.
• Experience in responsible Quality Management roles on oil and gas projects.
• Experience managing project quality systems and audits.
• Certification in auditing/inspection preferred.
• Worldwide experience with contractors and suppliers for production facilities projects.
• Client-facing experience on major production facilities projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Implement the Project Quality Plan within the assigned scope of work.
• Provide training for key staff.
• Ensure execution of Surveillance Programs via Surveillance Plans and audits.
• Report quality issues, status, metrics, and lessons learned to Project Management.
• Manage efforts to resolve quality issues and improve quality activities.
• Serve as PQC or SQC until those positions are assigned if needed.
• Promote quality awareness and ensure control processes are in place.
• Oversee contractor Quality program implementation and QA staff performance.
• Review contractor QA documentation and Quality Plans / ITPs.
• Participate in contractor qualification and audits.
• Monitor surveillance programs and assess KPI-based metrics.
• Assist in selecting SQC personnel and inspectors for sites.
• Coordinate site close-out quality contributions with project teams.

Job Title

Quality Assurance Coordinator III

Compensation

$80/hr

Location

Spring, TX initially. The work location will move to Midland after the first quarter. Candidates must be willing to relocate to Midland.

Schedule

6 days on / 1 day off

Travel and Allowances

• Infield mileage: reimbursed at the standard IRS rate.
• Reimbursable travel: must be booked through BCD and is 100% reimbursable.
• Meals and incidentals on travel days: up to $75/day with itemized receipts.
• Per diem: $125/day for those living more than 100 miles from the work location.

Main Functions

• Implement the Project Quality Plan within the assigned scope of work.
• Provide training for key staff.
• Ensure execution of Surveillance Programs through development of Surveillance Plans and ongoing monitoring and auditing.
• Report quality issues, status, metrics, and company lessons learned to Project Management.
• Manage efforts to resolve quality issues and improve quality activities.
• Serve as Procurement Quality Coordinator (PQC) or Site Quality Coordinator (SQC) until those positions are assigned, if needed.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Promote quality awareness throughout the project.
• Ensure adequate control processes are established and properly implemented within the subproject Project Team (PT), as stipulated in the Project Plan and Project Quality Plan.
• Oversee the contractor’s implementation of its Quality program and compliance with project requirements:
  • Approve the contractor’s Quality organization and monitor the performance of key Quality Assurance (QA) staff.
  • Review the contractor’s standard contract and purchase order quality requirements language.
  • Review and approve the contractor’s Quality Plan and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Perform scheduled periodic assessments of contractor activities to evaluate and monitor implementation of the contractor’s Quality Management systems.
  • Participate in qualification of proposed subcontractors or suppliers.
  • Ensure the contractor’s surveillance activities are commensurate with Criticality Ratings.
  • Review the contractor’s quality audit schedule, monitor its audit program, and participate in selected audits.
  • Review Quality Plans of suppliers of critical equipment and materials in conjunction with the PQC.
  • Ensure the contractor performs quality reporting as required by the contract.
  • Monitor and audit implementation of PT Procurement and Construction Surveillance Programs.
• Provide quality training as required.
• Develop and coordinate the subproject Audit Schedule, conduct site audits within subprojects, and assist the Quality Manager with project audits as needed.
• Review metrics from engineering, procurement, and construction sites to identify issues and assist in their resolution.
• Assist the function in selecting SQC personnel and assist sites in selecting inspectors.
• Steward Procurement and Construction Surveillance Programs until the respective coordinator—PQC or SQC—is assigned.
• Review and assist in developing the Quality portion of site close-out reports as necessary.
• Advise and inform the Project Manager and Quality Manager on quality issues, status, and metrics.
• Ensure best practices and company lessons learned are implemented, and that new lessons learned are identified and distributed as required.

Skills and Qualifications

• Experience in quality assurance and control of field construction and completions activities.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science preferred.
• Technical discipline certifications commensurate with work experience.
• Willing and able to travel domestically and overseas to project sites to provide various levels of support.
• Experience in responsible Quality Management roles and coordination of quality activities for projects involving various facilities in the oil and gas industry.
• Experience managing project quality systems.
• Extensive experience auditing quality management systems.
• Worldwide experience with contractors and suppliers involved in production facilities projects.
• Experience working in a client role on major production facilities projects preferred.
• Experience with project completions and documentation for operations turnover.
• Qualification or certification in auditing and inspection disciplines preferred.
