Job summary

Master Search Solutions is seeking an experienced QA/QC & Compliance Specialist to support QA, QC, and regulatory activities for consumer products. You will review specifications, coordinate inspections, investigate issues, and maintain compliance files.

The role requires a degree in a related field and prior QA/QC experience in consumer products, with strong communication and MS Office skills. On-site work in New Jersey with opportunities to engage suppliers and testing labs.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Business, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Previous experience in QA, QC, Product and Regulatory Compliance within the Consumer Products industry.
• Ability to read/interpret product specifications, test reports, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Comfort communicating with suppliers, testing labs, customers, and internal departments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and document-management systems.
• Experience working with imported consumer products or overseas suppliers.
• Familiarity with CPSC/CPSIA, ASTM standards, product testing, and labeling requirements a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review product specifications, testing documentation, inspection results, and quality records.
• Coordinate product inspections and testing.
• Review incoming product and packaging for conformance to approved specifications/standards.
• Investigate product quality issues, customer complaints, and potential product defects.
• Assist with root-cause investigations and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Maintain QA/QC records, testing reports, product specifications, and supporting documentation.
• Identify recurring quality issues and work with various teams to implement corrective actions.
• Review products, packaging, labels, warnings, instructions, and documentation for compliance.
• Maintain product compliance files, including test reports, Certificates of Conformity (COCs), Certificates of Analysis (COAs), supplier declarations, and specifications.
• Coordinate third-party product testing and certification when required.
• Monitor changes to applicable regulations, standards, and customer compliance requirements.
• Assist with compliance requirements related to consumer products, including applicable CPSC, CPSIA, ASTM, FDA, FTC, state, and retailer/customer requirements.
• Support product recalls, corrective actions, regulatory inquiries, and documentation requests.
• Communicate quality and compliance requirements to domestic and international suppliers.
• Partner with other departments to resolve quality or compliance issues.
• Provide compliance documentation in response to customer and retailer requests.
