Job summary

Independent Health Association in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Quality Assurance Auditor to monitor and audit all lines of business to ensure regulatory compliance and data integrity. The role involves developing test scripts, executing tests, and tracking defects to resolution.

The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve testing strategies, policies and procedures, with occasional evenings and weekends required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred.
• 3 years of experience in quality assurance/quality control, compliance monitoring, pharmaceutical, or managed care environment required.
• Experience with Medicare, Medicaid or another government program strongly preferred.
• Experience with pharmacy on-line claims processing systems preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to use independent judgement and solid reasoning when rendering decisions and troubleshooting issues.
• Detail oriented with an awareness of overall goals.
• Experience with AS400 query or other query tools; able to learn new software applications.
• Experience in report production and using system capabilities to drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain manual and automated test scripts utilizing testing tools.
• Develop, implement and maintain test cases, data, files and strategies.
• Participate in all aspects of testing including functional, regression, performance and system testing.
• Log and manage defect status and resolution within the QA software tool.
• Develop, implement and maintain QA/QC policies and procedures documentation.
• Conduct internal audits to measure adherence to claims processing standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support cross-functional projects and provide feedback on test approaches.
• Work on moderately to complex issues requiring data analysis.
