The QA Associate will be responsible for inspecting fabricated products, confirming materials match drawings and order requirements, documenting any nonconformances, and working closely with fabrication, warehouse, shipping, and project teams to resolve issues before product leaves the facility. If you enjoy hands-on inspection work and taking ownership of quality from start to finish, this is a great opportunity to make an immediate impact.

Responsibilities

  • Read blueprints, shop drawings, and cut lists to confirm completed products match what was ordered
  • Perform in-process and final inspections prior to packaging/shipping
  • Use measuring tools (tape measures, calipers, gauges, squares) to confirm quality standards
  • Identify and document non-conforming material or fabrication errors
  • Partner with fabrication teams and supervisors to correct quality issues before shipment
  • Verify incoming materials meet specifications and are not damaged
  • Maintain inspection records, QA checklists, and job documentation
  • Assist in investigating customer complaints/returns or incorrectly fabricated materials to determine root cause
  • Ensure products are properly labeled, packaged, and matched to the correct project/order
  • Support quality procedures and continuous improvement efforts (especially recurring fabrication/shipping errors)
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, fabrication, warehouse, and shipping teams to ensure accurate deliveries
Requirements
  • Experience inspecting fabrication or manufacturing products (construction-related experience preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and cut lists
  • Proficiency using basic measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, gauges, squares)
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
  • Able to collaborate cross-functionally to resolve quality issues
  • Exposure to quality control procedures and continuous improvement is a plus
Compensation
  • $50,000–$60,000/year(based on experience)
Additional Details:
