Beacon Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst for our client partner. The role focuses on hands-on testing to support story testing with the web development team, ensuring acceptance criteria are met and UI remains consistent.

The analyst will participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies, provide clear feedback, and help ensure data integrity using SQL Server Management Studio. Hybrid role with 1 day in office per week in Wisconsin.

Qualifications

• Quality assurance testing with 3 years of experience.
• Experience with SQL Server Management Studio viewing table data and writing SQL queries, 3 years.
• Experience with QA methodologies and testing techniques, 3 years.
• Knowledge of Agile Scrum SDLC and key deliverables, 3 years.
• Strong verbal and written communication with stakeholders, 3 years.
• Experience in technical writing and documentation, 3 years.
• Experience with DevOps (or a similar product), 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, verify, and test story acceptance criteria ensuring UI consistency and proper function.
• Participate in all Agile Scrum ceremonies and provide clear written/verbal feedback.
• Possess experience with Agile Scrum roles, ceremonies, artifacts, and cadence.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of overall QA/testing processes.

Job description

Beacon Technologies is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst for our client partner. This position is for a quality assurance analyst with strong hands-on testing experience to support story testing in close collaboration with the web application development team. This position will conduct quality assurance (QA) testing to ensure applications meet all story acceptance criteria and have a consistent UI. This position will participate in all Agile Scrum ceremonies including refinement and scoring and provide clear and concise written and verbal feedback from story testing. A high degree of professionalism and high-quality customer service are expected. This position should be able to work independently while taking directions from project leads. A demonstrated ability to take initiative in learning existing application functionality is a plus. This individual must have strong attention to detail, collaborative mindset, and commitment to teamwork. Candidate must be a WI resident or willing to relocate to WI prior to starting the role at their own expense. Hybrid role with 1 day in office per week.

The individual in this position will:

• Work with the development team and BA to evaluate, verify, and test story acceptance criteria ensuring web applications have a consistent UI and function as specified.
• Participate in all Agile Scrum ceremonies, including story refinement and scoring, and provide clear and concise written and verbal feedback from story testing.
• Have experience with Agile Scrum methodology, roles, ceremonies, artifacts, and cadence.
• Have experience using DevOps, or a similar product.
• Have strong, holistic knowledge of the overall quality assurance/testing process.
• Display a high degree of professionalism, collaboration, and customer service.
• Write SQL queries using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio to verify data integrity and validate data manipulation operations.
• Bring experience with the full software development lifecycle.
